I’m not usually much of a resolutions sort of girl but something about this post at Simply Lovely has inspired me to put something to paper as well.

So far – this has meant getting up at 5AM to hit the gym by 6.15AM and following it up with evening Pilates a few days a week. I just need to make it a habit!
2. Buy nothing? or only things that are necessary (food, cat stuff, cleaning products, and used items).
Can I make this a lifestyle? How about gifts? Can I buy outside the large corporations? Can I do it affordably?
I’ve been reading Culture Jam by Kalle Lasn. It is an oldish book (1991) but amazingly relevant. I only wish he’d paired it down a little since I think I’ll need to read it several times. I don’t know how to articulate it but there is something here…
3. Be more present.
Focus more on each task. Do what I do but better. Yoga may be part of this.
Update: Slow living seems to be on others minds as well.
4. Simplify.
Pair down the stuff we don’t use. In a one bedroom NYC apartment, there aren’t closets full or a packed basement. There is a cabinet full of unorganized paper, an overflowing dresser, a bunch of books which were only worth reading once…
