A wonderful woman, who is a volunteer at the NYBG and on staff at Smith & Hawken, suggested that I used cinnamon as a rot preventor on bulbs. It seems that it works for propagation too.

Cuttings & Root Hormone

The class I took yesterday the BBG inspired me to use the rooting hormone that has been sitting in my cabinet for year. I was intimidated by all the warnings! I followed the directions for making a lavender plant cutting from the Horticulture Society. Hopefully they will take! It seems that lavenders are not usually happy houseplants but my serenity lavender has been thriving. I look forward to having more!
