A wonderful woman, who is a volunteer at the NYBG and on staff at Smith & Hawken, suggested that I used cinnamon as a rot preventor on bulbs. It seems that it works for propagation too.

Great tip! How do you use it on your bulbs? Just sprinkle some in the hole when planting?
